On the 1st February 2024, everyone in Ireland is invited to #StandStrong and hold the Yoga Warrior Pose, a non-confrontational symbol of focus, confidence and courage, to show their support and solidarity with women subjected to domestic abuse in a strong but peaceful way.
The Stand Strong movement aims to engage, educate and empower people to raise awareness of domestic abuse, remove stigma surrounding it and drive for zero tolerance of the issue while raising much needed funds to support the work of Women’s aid.
How you can get involved:
Join the movement: Do the Yoga Warrior Pose, take a photo and share it on your social media using #StandStrong. Tag or challenge friends & family and encourage them to get involved and help us flood social media with warrior pose images to showcase the nation’s support for anyone affected by domestic abuse.
Together with our corporate partners Allianz Insurance, we are hoping to raise €2.4M from the Stand Strong movement over the three years of the campaign, the equivalent of €1 for each woman in Ireland.
