Volunteer Sales Assistant required for Women’s Aid Charity shop in Dundrum.

We are urgently looking for volunteers for Tuesdays and Saturdays only 11am to 4pm. 

Duties include:

  • Serving customers
  • Dealing with customer queries
  • Handling cash and credit card payments
  • Looking after the shop floor

Good Customer Service & Communication Skills are essential.

Ideally the volunteer should have some retail experience but full training will be given.

Our charity shop sells high value, low cost donated items ranging from shirts to skirts and books to bow ties.

The Dundrum Village Charity Shop supports Women’s Aid, a national frontline organisation working to prevent and address the impact of domestic violence and abuse including coercive control, in Ireland since 1974. We do this by advocating, influencing, training, and campaigning for effective responses to reduce the scale and impacts of domestic abuse on women and children in Ireland and provide high quality, specialised, integrated, support services.

We urgently need donations

We take clean, good quality items including to sell in the shop including:

  • Ladies, gents and kids clothing
  • Unwanted gifts
  • Jewellery
  • CDs, DVDs and videos
  • Books and recent magazines

Donations can be dropped in to the shop. Due to bin charges and increased costs of waste management, we cannot take old electrical goods, plastic toys or prams.

Women's Aid is a member of the Irish Charity Shops Association. The ICSA provides support and information for the Charity Shop sector. We support the current ICSA 'Choose Charity Shops 1st' campaign.
