The funds raised will be used by Women’s Aid however it is most needed at the time. This could be supporting any of the vital services for women and children, or making sure that the work that they do is sustainable. One in four women in Ireland have been subjected to domestic abuse. The impact of Covid-19 means that Women’s Aid needs support now, more than ever. Since the pandemic began calls to the 24hr National Freephone Helpline have increased dramatically.
Home is not a safe place for thousands of women and families across Ireland. Your support in 2022 means that Women’s Aid will continue their work supporting women and to increase the safety of women and children across Ireland. We can continue to strengthen and increase our services – including our newly launched maternity outreach programme, emergency financial relief fund, and personal grants for women to make home security improvements. Your support will also us to raise awareness of domestic violence and how Women’s Aid can help.
