The event took place on Sean Moore Park and Sandymount Strand in Dublin 4 at 7.30pm.
It was a fantastic event with 109 women, men and children taking part raising €8,300 for Women’s Aid. You were fantastic company and we plan to hold another bigger and better event next Spring. We’ll keep you up to date with our plans.
In the meantime, we'd like to share some fantastic photos from the event and the event results. Links below to:
A special thanks to Emma Murphy for getting the body moving and Bláthnaid Treacy for mc’ing the night and who can forget the commentary provided by Turlough Conway who helped organise the event.
We were all there to have some fun but for a very serious cause. People took part as a show of strength and solidarity for women and children, for loved ones, for themselves. It was really important that we were there, in public showing our support and breaking the silence that surrounds domestic violence.
The event also gave out a message of hope – to survivors – to women trapped in abusive relationships. We are here for you. To listen to you. To Believe You. To support you.
By taking part everyone has helped Women’s Aid continue to do that each and every day.
A special thanks to the team at the Clanna Gael Fontenoy GAA Club.
