Women's Aid has begun a recruitment drive for volunteers to work on its National Freephone Helpline that supports women and their children who are living with physical, emotional, sexual and financial abuse. The Women's Aid Helpline is a national domestic violence support service based in the Dublin area.

Women's Aid runs the National Freephone Helpline (1800 341 900), 10am to 10pm, 7 days a week as well as a Dublin based one to one support service and court accompaniment service. The Helpline responds to over 10,000 calls each year while the Dublin based services give information and support to, and advocates on behalf of, hundreds of women, on a one to one basis. Women can avail of these services in Dublin city centre, Ballymun, Cabra, Coolock, Swords and Dun Laoghaire as well as other suitable venues.
