Recession: Where are the Women?
Posted on November 05, 2012
Limerick, Clare and Kerry Women's Networks have come together to form a regional structure within the National Collective of Community Based Women's Networks (NCCWN) to give a stronger voice to women in their region. As part of this initiative they are organising an event to officially launch the South and Mid West Region NCCWN and to provide a networking opportunity for women from the region to meet.
The theme for the event is 'Recession, where are the women?' "Women have been disproportionately affected by the policies imposed by National Government Departments", stated Elaine D'Alton of the Clare Women's Network, "this is clear in the way the cuts have been implemented".
