Message of Michelle Bachelet for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women
Posted on November 25, 2012
Michelle Bachelet is the Executive Director of UN Women.
I am often asked whether ending violence against women is possible given the pervasiveness and persistence of these crimes. My answer is yes. It is possible. But we can only do it together. We are all responsible and it is time for leaders to fulfill the promises made to women.
Today on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, I call on all leaders: Take a stand to end violence against women and girls.

Posted on November 23, 2012
On Sunday, November 25th, Cassie Moore will be launching her new book, Did You Hear Me Crying? from 2pm-5pm at the Red Cow Hotel.
The book chronicles with heartbreaking honesty the story of a life blighted by abuse at the hands of both her parents and her husband, and shows just how difficult it can be to endure and escape an abusive relationship. However, it also tells the story of her escape from abuse and the gradual rebuilding of a new life for herself. It is ultimately a story of hope not of despair.
As Margaret Martin, Director of Women's Aid says in the testimonial for the book:
